Joyce of Joyce Roberts Designs has been creating patterns for quilters for eight years. Peggy Mote has helped Joyce and their design work is called the Out to Lunch Quilters, because they can think better over the lunch table. In more recent years Joyce and Peggy have been fascinated by their new method for foundation piecing, which is excellent for all levels of quilting expertise. Joyce has expanded this piecing method to include machine embroidery. The designs for the machine embroidery can also serve as patterns for hand or machine appliqué. A process is available, which combines both machine embroidery with appliqué utilizing more recent resources available to the sewing community. Joyce and Peggy have been quilters for many years. The special bond they share is the joy of appliqué. Projects galore are seriously discussed between Joyce and Peggy and they wish that their needles could travel as fast as their ideas for designs.
